Continued work on the newest today, she seems to be agreeing with what I have in mind for her, which is a relief :-)
The first thing I did today was scrunch some aluminum foil around the wire, giving her some curves in the process.
Then I wrapped that several times with masking tape, enhancing the curves just a bit. Originally I intended for her to be sitting, unfortunately I didn't realize that the masking tape would make it very hard to pose her with breaking the work I had done, so standing she will be!
Luckily I did realize this BEFORE I did her arms, so was able to put them in the correct position. Here she is, all mummified!
Next will be the thin batting layer, which will be wrapped around also and then stitched together. I'm hoping this will smooth out her lumps a little and will also help round out her head and make her a bit more curvy. I need to buy the fabric for her body and figure out how to put that on so it may be a few days before another progress report.
So far I am pretty happy with how she is turning out!
'Til next time...
