"Family Ties"

I forgot where I first saw this idea, but it stuck in my mind as something I wanted to try so yesterday I decided to give it a go.

This is a 9x12 gallery wrapped canvas that I first painted black. Then I gathered some yarn and began wrapping it around the canvas until I came up with a design I liked. I added a few knots to make the shape stand out more and it was done!

If you look closely, you can see the letter *A* in the middle, which is the first initial of my children's last name.
