ReplyDeleteI've seen the arched "Window Quilt" quilt patterns that use panels and this would be cool I think :)
ReplyDeleteI've dreamed of making an old fashioned hand stitched Scrappy traditional Cathedral Window. But until I get a few UFO's out of the way, big project start ups need to stand in line until I prove I can be a better "finisher". Off to a good start...Y2K (1999) top finished a couple weeks ago ;)
-email on file with my blog.
Happy Quilty 2009! I am absolutely determined to try free-motion quilting this year! I have a machine that will do it, just need to put my fear aside and just do it! And then hopefully I will wonder why I didn't do it before!

Happy New Year! This year I want to really practice and get better in machine quilting. Its lots of practice, practice, practice but hopefully I will master it. NanaBarto@aol.com
ReplyDeleteWe just V-Matched our living room this year and the squares would make a great start to a beautiful wall hanging for above the couch. We actually have that kind of a scene out our living room window. Last year we enjoyed watching a herd of deer in our back yard and our pet rabbits that run free in the yard didn't seem to bother them much. It was a pretty site to see the deer, rabbits, birds and even a red squirrel all at the same time out the window.
ReplyDeleteI have always wanted to take a treasure expedition from East Coast Me to the West Coast CA hitting as many states as possible on the trip down and back doing diamond and gem mining and digging , metal detecting, Antique bottle digging and even some geocashing for fun. I don't know if it will happen in 2009 but I can dream it will lol
I've always wanted to complete the quilt that my grandmother started.
ReplyDeletersgrandinetti@yahoo.com

One thing I've always wanted to try, but haven't, is the backbasting method of hand applique. I don't know if I'll try it in 2009 or not -- it depends on how many other things come along to distract me. But I WILL try it out at some point! Lydia (thepoch [at] aol [dot] com)
ReplyDeleteI'm determined to learn to knit socks. Don't ask me why - I think it's one of those "if all your friends were jumping off a cliff, would you be right there with them?" kinda things. But, since my knee is still not fixed, and will have some non-sewing recovery time, I bought the DPN's... and printed out a tutorial, and I've got a whole 3/4" of ribbing done.
ReplyDeleteWishing you a safe, healthy and prosperous New Year!
