Crayon work

This is the 1st of a 3 or 4 part series, I plan on making the same butterfly using several different methods, the first was made using crayons, another will be appliqué, a 3rd thread painting, and the 4th, if I do one, may be in paints, they will then all be either joined together to make a 4 panel or quilted in individual small squares, haven't decided that yet. If I only make 3 I will probably hang them in a vertical panel.
