Memories of Lucy

Here is a picture of my entry to She Made Her Mark Too. It is all appliqué, with a teeny bit of painting on her face. I am honored and amazed that she was accepted. My 3rd attempt at entering something and I fully expected another "no thanks" letter so needless to say I am THRILLED! She will be traveling around with the rest of the exhibit and will be in these 4 shows right now:

maybe more.... I may not have made it into the She Made Her Mark exhibit at the Quilter's Hall of Fame, but I am MORE than happy at where OUR part of the show will be seen.
You will notice 2 quotes by Lucy framed on the wall...one says "I am not funny. What I am is brave" and the other says, "use a makeup table with everything close at hand, and dont rush, otherwise you will end up looking like a patchwork quilt" The last one is the one that inspired this quilt.
