scrap quilt
The donation of fabric I recently received included a bag full of scraps, orphan blocks, squares and strips, so since winter is on the way, I decided to start assembling them all into a *no pattern* scrappy quilt for the living room, so far I have 3 rows, no set size for the "blocks" either, I just make one til it fits the bottom of the one before and add it on, I keep adding until that row is the same size as the one before and sew them together. Right now this is 45x38, want to get it to a 60" square or a 60 x ? rectangle, which will be perfect because we only have a loveseat. I am not usually one to do a scrappy quilt, but am enjoying this one and like the way it is turning out.

Looks good- see I love scrappy quilts myself. You should read Finn's Pieces of My Scrapbag's blog ( link is in my blog's side bar) she does alot of orphan blocks quilts. Scrappy quilts with no set pattern are very Gwen Marston's liberated quilting style ....enjoy the rest of your weekend
