I started off finger painting, as you might be able to tell by the sky, all the movement in the water was mostly done with fingers too, also a thin brush, a toothpick and a Q-tip, as I added the motion strokes I smudged them a bit with my fingers too. Still want to add some small things to this, but didn't have any glue so will wait.
The poster board leaves a LOT to be desired so this one will have to be framed for sure.
Over all though I am pretty happy with this!
Very nice colors and lots of movement in the water. Did you have any trouble with the poster board warping?

ReplyDeleteLove this Cathy-you have many artistic gifts-hugs Kathyinozarks
Kay, When it dried it just curves a little, nothing a frame won't fix. Of course it was hard to work with the acrylics because I didn't use a lot of water and the poster board just sucked it right up!
ReplyDeleteThanks for the comment Kathy, and I might return it to you, you also have many talents. Both artistic and others!
I love the creativity in using fabric for the sails. The movement in the water and the sky is very effective. Poster board is a good idea for the canvas. - Terry in Maple Ridge, B.C.
