A 12" piece I did for a challenge group. Since it is so small and I wanted the fields beneath the bird's shadow to have different looks, I decided to try hand quilting. As you will see in the detail shots, not TOO bad but need some practice! Still I like how it came out because crop fields do not usually have perfectly straight rows. Next time I will draw my designs BEFORE quilting instead of just doing it. BTW, I guess it looked good to others also because this one has been sold!

ReplyDeleteYou know, not drawing your quilting lines in was the thing to do on this one ..even with machinery how straight are rows from bird's eye view
