I am really happy with how this came out
I am going to do some handwork on this,,,(all the drawn lines will be
thread work and maybe some small seed beads..not sure,,and then cut it off this backing that it is on...
Don't know what fabric it will end up on. I am not happy with anything I have
here and believe me, I tried all my biggest pieces! I may have to BUY something!
The girl is probably going to be changed, I have been told she looks too sad, after looking at her, she does appear more sad than what she is supposed to look like, which is like she is reading or maybe quilting or something , you know, looking down at her hands? I can "see" the piece she should be on, so looks like I have 2 wips right now..
Instead of making more work for yourself by cutting this off its backing, why not work more stitchery, paint, textural lines, something, into the backing itself? It looks good to me on what it is on - just enrich that background itself. Much easier. Then either hang, or mount over something firm like plywood and you'll have a nice thing to hang on the wall, give to someone,or frame if you MUST. You could then use it as the centrepiece of a larger quilt - for a bed perhaps?
